Nature Gives You Vitality
It’s like a blanket of warmth, a protective layer, a friend you can always count on.
When moving through nature it is enlightening, it takes away all the business of the day and just floats it away.

I am always humbled at what nature has to share, there is always something extraordinary to see if you just stop for a moment and take the time to look.
There is nothing more empowering than spending time in our fantastic backyard. A backyard that is for ever changing and giving us new things to look at.
With this post I ask you to take the time, some time this week to just stop and observe the beauty of nature, be it the trees on the way to work, a flower in the garden, the cloud formations on the drive home, just breathe for a moment and feel the serene power of nature.
I always try to take my camera if I am on a nature walk, you never know what amazing things you might get to see along the way.
Its always like a new adventure every time you wander out into nature because every day is so different.
As you slowly relax and unwind you begin to connect and zone into whats going on around you, suddenly everything seems to be easy to see.
The insects are flying all around, the birds are noisy in the trees, and the flora becomes richer and brighter in colour, nature just takes over. You feel alive and it feels like all your senses have woken up as if they had been asleep.
I love waking in nature anywhere, but the New Zealand wild has the beautiful Ponga trees, they are my favourite native tree, it has a beautiful canopy like a huge umbrella.
Just recently Chris and I discovered some giant Ponga trees, they were so tall it’s hard to get an estimate of hight, but they were like nothing I had ever seen before.
The New Zealand wild is alive with many ferns, they are everywhere and grow really well in the garden at home as a beautiful backdrop for all your colourful flowers.
If you are lucky when you go walking you will see the Manuka tea tree in flower, the flowers are always alive with the buzz of bees collecting what they need to make beautiful Manuka Honey, rich in all it’s healing properties. I did recently read that in the UK, the hospitals were using the honey in their wards for healing wounds. I have myself got Manuka dressing in my first aid kit and they really do work well.
If you can find some wet areas to walk around, you might be lucky to find a frog or two.
I love frogs, they are my favourite little creature, their beautiful green uniforms, their golden markings and gorgeous eyes. There is something about the frogs that totally captivates me.
Another favourite of mine is the dragon fly. When you get the opportunity to get in close and look, some of the dragon flies are the most amazing colours. I have seen dragon flies that are wonderful pink, green and blue, just extraordinary insects.
Then there is the bird life of course.
New Zealand Bird calls, the beautiful NZ Tui, I wake up to them every morning.
The many coloured and beautiful birds. If you are lucky enough to get close enough to see them in all their glory, singing in a tree beneath the sunshine.
When I was in Canada I couldn’t believe the variety of birds and the many colours and fabulous songs.
The Blue jay was certainly my favourite while I was there, I would look forwards to having them in the trees early in the morning. You could always hear them calling out to each other.
The Bluejay is the most fantastic looking bird, so majestic and royal looking with their bright blue feathers and lovely crown. Perhaps one day I will do a post especially for the birds.
If you enjoy being out and about in nature I am sure you have had those moments when you could sit back and watch the sun go down, nothing more amazing than watching all the birds come in to roost in the treetops preparing to settle in for the evening.
The sound is quite something, hundreds of birds coming in to a small area, all there to see the sun go down and nestle in for the night.
Nature gives you vitality there is no doubt about it, once you have spent the day in nature you always come back feeling rejuvenated, if you have been walking or riding your bike you may be tired but at the same time rejuvenated and invigorated.
Nature Gives You Vitality.
There is something about the smells and the sights, the whole awe of being amongst all of the universes native creations.
Next time you are feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, go out and spend some time in nature.
I know it will help you relax and unload.
You will come home feelings totally new, rejuvenated, ready to take on the world for the next day.
Nature gives you something that you can’t get from anything else.
