Eckhart Tolle
Tolle has a sensational story to share and I wanted to share it with you. He has shown us that anything is possible, nothing is out of our reach.
Tolle was depressed for much of his life until he underwent, at age 29, an "inner transformation". He then spent several years wandering and unemployed "in a state of deep bliss" before becoming a spiritual teacher.
Eckhart Tolle explains to us the importance of "NOW"
Later, he moved to North America where he began writing his first book, "The Power of Now", which was published in 1997 and reached the New York Times Best Seller Lists in 2000. Tolle settled in Vancouver Canada where he has lived for more than a decade.
When I discovered this man, I couldn't help but wonder where had I been to not have heard about him?
His story is really interesting and listening to him speak is quite something. He has this ore of calmness about him that is really sincere. His Philosophy on the "Now", makes so much sense as it stops us worrying about yesterday and tomorrow. Eckhart really goes into depth about the importance of "Now".
His philosophy is very easy to understand and his mindful educating ways are rare. I salute Ekhart for stepping forward to teach others the path of his journey.
Eckhart talks about thought demanding attention, each and every day our mind is busy shuffling through thought after thought, it sometimes feels like there's to much to think about.
Quote from Ekhart Tolle
Eckhart says
“Even a stone, and more easily a flower or a bird, could show you the way back to God, to the Source, to yourself.”
I love this, he takes us back to simplicity, he goes on to say
“When you look at it or hold it and let it be without imposing a word of mental label on it, a sense of awe, of wonder, arises within you. It's essence silently communicates itself to you and reflects your own essence back to you.
The work of Eckhart Tolle
The work of Eckhart Tolle is all about “the transformation of consciousness and the arising of a more enlightened humanity”. I would like to think this is possible by taking one step at a time, on a personal level.
