Hi EveryoneI have just refreshed and up dated my website. There are still articles to come so stay tuned. This is now my only avenue of communication on the web.
I am focusing my energy on 101healing.com, welcome to my site. :) I hope you find something useful to take away with you. Any questions don't be shy to ask. Finally after many years abroad I am back in my beautiful country New Zealand to stay. It feels so good to be home where the world is familiar to me again. Light switches are the right way up again, people drive on the correct side of the road and yes the washroom water goes clockwise again...LOL the little things we take for granted that we were bought up on.. My time overseas was fantastic and I got to meet the most amazing people that have made my heart bigger than I thought possible and I will miss my friends dearly.
Now it's back to business getting my life up and running on this end of the world, so don't be shy if you have any questions.... Stay safe everyone and love and light.. Today I am posting a little science for you all. I am sure many of you have experienced this phenomenon but were unclear as to what exactly it was. With the sun out and the many beautiful days we have had, this is an ideal time to take a look and experience this.
Have you ever been staring into space, or gazing up at a clear, blue sky and suddenly noticed clusters of tiny dots and swirls? Move your eyes and they move as well, seeming to float directly in front of your face. Are you really seeing something, or is it an illusion? Dots And SwirlsWhat you see is real, and has to do with the inner workings of the eye. In the back of our eyes is a layer called the retina, which enables us to see. Like most body parts, the retina requires nutrients in the form of blood. Tiny blood vessels lying on top of the retina provide sustenance, but also cast a shadow on the retina. A bright light shining into your eye from an angle sometimes makes the shadow of the retinal vessels visible, but normally the brain ignores this shadow, allowing us to see clearly. The blood vessels carry red and white blood cells. Red blood cells are relatively opaque, and therefore contribute to the shadow cast by the blood vessels. White blood cells, however, are transparent to light, and do not simply blend into the shadow. This means that under the right conditions they are visible, and will sometimes appear against a white or light-blue background such as the sky. Because white blood cells are so small, they can be difficult to see. But the next time you gaze up on a cloudless day and do see a cluster of tiny dots, you’ll know that you’re watching white blood cells in action. It's about having thought and compassion for another human being and their position in the world. We don't all think the same, we all process our emotions differently but essentially at the end of the day we all know the emotions connected with being hurt. Hurt comes from Anger that's a fact, so if someone hurts you, it comes from a place of their hurt whether they realize it or not, their hurt was created by anger and so the pattern continues over and over. In relationships Respect is a major part of a successful marriage or partnership. Empathy is just as important. Many people find themselves saying or doing things in the heat of the moment, regretful things that they would other wise not have said. This is something that has divided couples and split marriages for as long as time itself. When you have something to discuss with your partner and you know it's a topic of heated discussion in the pass, pick your moment carefully. Hopefully you know your partners habits and routines well enough to know when the best time is. Don't do it for example, the minute they walk in the door from work, don't do it when they are watching their favourite sports Chanel, don't do it when the kids need baths and put to bed. Plan your time, respect your partner enough to know that if you address the topic in the correct way they will have time in their moment to respond with thought not in hast, this way the discussion can take place with two calm, rational people who are finding a solution to a problem. Relationships are not about: what can I get... this is how I feel, this is what I want from you. they are about : what can I give? how do you feel? What can I do for you? In giving and knowing how the other feels will give clarity to your own position in a relationship and both will have a foundation to work upon that is solid and trustworthy. I wish I was outside lapping up the sun and feeling it's wonderful warmth, but instead I am finding myself turning up the heat in the house as it's a cold day today. Like many of you I am seeing the beautiful crocus full in bloom and yes the daffodils have even lifted there leaves from the heavy soil but alas the ideal spring weather is not quite here yet.
A reminder to everyone to keep that spring weather in our mind and know that it is coming and that we will all be able to enjoy the sunshine soon. :) Take time out to find some time for yourselves as this is important to keep a balanced equilibrium, it's been a long cold winter so it's important to keep up with our vitamin D at least until we are assured of some sunny days. For those of you feeling the blues a known tonic is: Hypericum perforatum, also known as St John's wort, is a flowering plant species of the genus Hypercium and a medicinal herb that is sold over the counter as a treatment for depression. There are some conservative warnings of this product so take care to read them. University of Maryland however have done studies and have found St Johns wart to be beneficial but does also point out side effects if you are taking other medication. I am putting this out there simply as information and I am sure you will all take your health seriously and make sure you do your reading and homework on any substance you are or will be taking whether it be prescription or herbal. Have yourselves a great day, keep warm and keep calm. ![]() Hi folks well spring is on it's way, the Robins are out and about and today was the most amazing day of sunshine that I have seen in a long time. Time to come out and smell the flowers (soon anyway) can't wait.:) It's been a long winter this winter and I am sure like me, all of you are just waiting to put shorts and jandals on and bask in the sun. Here's to the sunshine folks.....enjoy! What is God, Does Heaven and Hell exist..??
A great insight in this short video. What defines God? I admire this priest who has stood up and said it how it is.! If only we had all been taught this when we were young, how different our concept of spiritually would be. Taking responsibility completely into our own hands, perhaps this would have empowered many more people into realizing spirituality starts with the self. |
